Who We Are
Estate planning should feel personal—because it is.

Meet Shannon Clark, the attorney behind Wildroot Estate Planning and an advocate for a more thoughtful, human way to plan.
Why I Created Wildroot Estate Planning

I went to law school because I wanted to help people. Early in my career, however, I found myself working for a large law firm representing mortgage lenders in bankruptcy matters. The work showed me how disconnected the legal system can become from the people whose lives it affects—and how powerless families can feel when they do not have the right guidance at the right time.

I knew I wanted to practice law differently.

That commitment became even more personal after I became a mother. Raising two young children, including a child with special needs, changed the way I thought about planning for the future. I understood more deeply that estate planning is not simply about documents or assets. It is about the people who depend on us, the relationships that shape our lives, and the care, knowledge, and support we hope will continue even when we cannot provide it ourselves.

I created Wildroot Estate Planning to give families a welcoming place to work through those important questions. My goal is to help you understand your choices, make thoughtful decisions, and create a plan grounded in the people and values that matter most to you.

What Guides my work
Clarity
You deserve to understand your estate plan. I explain your options in plain language so you can make informed decisions without feeling intimidated by legal terminology.
Care
Estate planning is deeply personal. I take the time to understand your family, your concerns, and the life behind the legal documents.
Relationship
Your life will continue to change, and your estate plan should be able to change with it. My approach is built around an ongoing relationship—not a one-time exchange of documents.
